Thank you. I have this up here to keep our interest up on the 2520. We have more to say about the 2520. And this is just some, brothers and sisters, this is just some of the evidence, just the logic of it, that the 2520 is valid. This is the Northern Kingdom against Israel. This is the 2520 against the Southern Kingdom. The Northern Kingdom is emphasizing the scattering. The Southern Kingdom is emphasizing the gathering. God's people were going to be gathered in 1844. The 2520 in Belshazzar is emphasizing this history, the Northern Kingdom, a kingdom removed for good. Nebuchadnezzar's 2520 is the story of a kingdom removed, but a kingdom restored at the end of the 2520. That's 1844. Jacob served seven years for Leah and seven years for Rachel. So this 2520 for Leah, he may have loved her, but he didn't love her like he loved Rachel. The story of Rachel is the story of the marriage. In 1844 is the parable of the ten virgins. It's the story of the marriage. So Rachel is represented in this 2520, because this 2520 is about the gathering of God's people. This 2520 is about the trampling down. That's why it breaks down into 1260 years of paganism trampling down the sanctuary and the host, followed by 1260 years of papalism trampling down the sanctuary and the host. We looked a little bit at Isaiah 7 last night, where Isaiah sets forth both starting points, both the 7.23 and the 6.77, both starting points of these 2520s. In Isaiah 7.3 and 8.3 you have two of Isaiah's sons. In Isaiah 8.18 it says that he and his sons are given for signs. So Meir Shalahashbaz is emphasizing his name means making haste to the prey. It's talking about the northern kingdom getting taken into captivity, where Shir Jeshuv, his other son, means a remnant shall return. And that's what 1844 is about. I just want you to see that throughout the scriptures, and this isn't everything, and I'm positive, I haven't seen even a small portion of it, throughout the scriptures the 2520 is very specifically addressed, even if we're not willing to see it. Now here, if you remember last night, we started by showing that the angel that guided William Miller was Gabriel, and that Sister White said that William Miller was given the commencement of the chain of truth. That's in your notes from last night, if you don't remember. And then William Miller said that the three commencement points that he was given was 6.77, 4.57 and 5.08. And the reason that I have this up here to start with, and William Miller was understanding that all three of these prophecies ended in 1843. I'm not correcting this at this point for 1844. I'm just trying to point out something to you as we start this. These three dates, this is where William Miller, this is his whole foundational approach. These are the three dates he's given, where he starts. So I want you to understand that there's no way that William Miller would ever present the 2300 year prophecy when he wasn't also presenting the 2520. This is not logical to even think that he would do so. He understood that all three of these prophecies were leading to this conclusion, and this is what he was teaching. This conclusion, the Lord is returning in 1843. So he believed, the Millerites believed and taught, that these prophecies were the same prophecy. Just like this prophecy, the 1335, the Millerites know full well that in 508 there's two time prophecies that start. There's this one that ends in 1843, and there's the 1290 that ends in 1798. And the Millerites understood that the 1290 and the 1335 were directly connected. You couldn't separate them, they're the same prophecy, because they started at the same historical event, the same date. And the reverse logic to that is, to a Millerite, you cannot separate these prophecies because they all end at the same date. So that's where I want you to start tonight, is at least to see, just with the simple math, that for the Millerites, they could not separate the 2520 and the 2300, and that's what we're going to be dealing with here tonight. So we're going to walk through this study quickly, but carefully, hopefully. On page 1, we have Daniel 8.19, and in Daniel 8.19 it says, Now as he was speaking with me, and this is Gabriel, as Gabriel was speaking with Daniel, Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground, but he touched me and set me upright. And Gabriel said, he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation, for at the time appointed, the end shall be. So we want to start tonight by looking at the indignation. And both of these, both of these time prophecies are God's indignation. When they were scattered for 2520 years in these two histories, this was God's indignation against Israel, this was God's indignation against Judas. So we want to show that to you, to start with. And you have a principle there, we don't have to read through these, and this is just a few places in God's word, where this principle is set forth, but upon the testimony of two or three things established in the scriptures. Do you believe that? Do you believe it enough to say, that if someone's going to teach something, and they only have one point of reference, that it's not established? There was a time period when we were dealing with Revelation 17 a lot, and there's different ideas about Revelation 17, and one of them is that the five that has fallen and one is, and one is yet to come, and the eighth is of the seven, that this is a series of popes since the Lateran treaty in 1929, and that the pope that's now dead was the one that is, and the pope that now is, is the one that was yet to come. So when the last pope died, that whole formula broke down. It doesn't stand any longer, it can't, because now six have fallen and one is. But, when people would teach that, my first response to them was, well show me one other place in the scriptures, where we see a series of popes, because you have to have at least two to establish it. So, do you believe that? We're going to show you something, but I hope we convey the thought tonight about the 2300 years that might challenge your thinking. So, go with me to Lamentations 2, verses 1-9, and we're going to look at what the indignation in God's word is. Get a couple of references, so it will be established. Lamentations 2, verses 1-9. Everyone there? Lamentations 2, Lamentations is right after Jeremiah. Jeremiah wrote Lamentations also, and it's right after the book of Jeremiah. Verse 1, How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his angers, and cast down from heaven and to earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger? So, he's casting down his people in the day of his anger. The Lord swallowed up the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied. He hath thrown down in his wrath the strongholds of the daughter of Judah. He hath brought them down to the ground. He hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof. He hath cut off in his fierce anger all the horn of Israel. He hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy, and he hath burned against Jacob like a flaming fire which devoureth round about. He hath bent his bow like an enemy. He stood with his right hand as an adversary, and slew all that were pleasant to the eye in the tabernacle of the daughter of Zion. He hath poured out his fury like fire. The Lord was an enemy. He hath swallowed up Israel. He hath swallowed up all her palaces. He hath destroyed his strongholds, and hath increased in the daughter of Zion mourning and lamentation. He hath violently taken away his tabernacle as if it were a garden. He hath destroyed his places of the assembly, and the Lord hath caused the solemn feast and Sabbath to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest." Okay? So, when the Lord was punishing ancient Israel for breaking the covenant, that punishment is identified by the prophets as God's indignation against Israel. For a second witness, Ezekiel 22, verse 17 through 31. But let's start in verse 15, because there's another part of this that we want to catch along the way. In verse 15 it says, of Ezekiel 22, verse 15 says, "...and I will scatter thee among the heathen." Both of these 2520s are also referenced by the Bible prophets as the scattering. They were scattered for 2520 years. "...and I will scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countries, and will consume thy filthiness out of thee, and thou shalt take the inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, the house of Israel is to me become dross. All they are brass, and tin, and iron, and lead. In the midst of a furnace they are even dross and silver." And let's just jump ahead to verse 24. "...Son of man, say unto her," say to God's people, "...thou art the land that is not cleansed nor rained upon in the day of indignation." Now drop down to verse 31. "...Therefore have I poured out my indignation upon them, and have consumed them with the fire of my wrath. Their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith the Lord God." So, in your notes from Deuteronomy 29, verse 27 through 29, it says, "...And the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land to bring it all the curses that are written in this book." In what book? Who wrote Deuteronomy? Okay, the curses of Moses are what are being referenced here. "...And the Lord hath rooted them out of the land in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land as it is this day. The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law." So, God's indignation is the curse of Moses. Alright? So, if you go back up to the top of your notes, in Daniel 8, verses 18 and 19, where we started, and you look at verse 19, it says, "...Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation, for at the time appointed the end shall be." So, Gabriel's coming, and he's telling Daniel, I'm going to make you know about the last end of the indignation, which tells you that there must be at least a first end. If there's a last end, there has to be some other end beforehand. So, one of the things you can see in this is there is at least two indignations, at minimum, with this verse, and this indignation is also the curse of Moses. So, when Daniel was talking about the indignation, did he understand that this was the curse of Moses? Look at here, drop down to the curse of Moses, on your notes, Daniel 9, verses 11 through 13, "...Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice. Therefore, the curse is poured upon us." Daniel knew full well what the curse and the indignation and the scattering was. So, "...therefore, the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, because we have sinned against him, and he hath confirmed his words which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil, for under the whole heaven hath not been done, as hath been done upon Jerusalem, as it is written in the law of Moses. All this evil has come upon us, yet we made not our prayers before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities and understand thy truth." Now, some of us recently were in a meeting in Oklahoma, and a brother there from Canada did a presentation that was partially on the 2520, and one of the things that he did that was very nice is he went into Leviticus 26, where Moses is setting forth what you need to do if you get in this situation, if you're under the curse of God, this is what you're supposed to do, you're supposed to repent, confess your sins, confess the sins of your fathers, and he went through that passage in Leviticus 26, and then he lined it up with Daniel's prayer in Daniel 9, and once you line them up, you realize Daniel was simply walking down through the instructions of how to get out of this bad situation that is set forth in Leviticus 26, where this indignation is identified. But one of the things this indignation is, is also the scattering. We've already seen that in Ezekiel, but notice Nehemiah 1, verse 5 through 11, and Nehemiah 1 is a parallel prayer to Daniel. Daniel's prayer is in connection with the punishment, the indignation that has been executed on Israel, and in Nehemiah 1, Nehemiah is right after Ezra, let's start in verse 5, but I'm going to jump down after that. And I said, I beseech thee, O Lord God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him, and observe his commandments. Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel, thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee, both I and my Father's house have sinned. Nehemiah is also walking down through Leviticus 26. He says, We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor judgments, which thou commandest thy servant Moses. Remember, I beseech thee, the word that thou commandest thy servant Moses, saying, If you transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations. But if you turn unto me, and keep my commandments and do them, though there were of you cast out unto the uttermost part of the heaven, yet will I gather them from thence, and bring them into the place that I have chosen to set my name. So, this time period up here, these two punishments are for breaking the covenant, they're God's indignation, they're the scattering of God's people. This one here, is where the fulfillment of the gathering takes place. This is where the Lord enters back into covenant with modern Israel. Next page. There are two scatterings, not one scattering, identified, and on this chart, and this chart, all you see is this 2520. But if you read William Miller's writing, he knew of this 2520 also. William Miller recognized both these 2520s, but what William Miller was seeing was 1843. So, when it comes to presenting the 2520 on these charts, what William Miller was nailing down was 1843. But there are two of them. In your notes, and I've cut off... Oh, there it is. Alright. In putting these notes together, I've combined Daniel and Jeremiah there. This is from Jeremiah 50, verses 17 through 20, where it says two scatterings. It says, Israel is a scattered sheep. Israel is the northern kingdom, the ten tribes. Israel is a scattered sheep. The lions have driven him away. First, the king of Assyria hath devoured him. And last, this Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, hath broken his bones. Therefore, thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land as I've punished the king of Assyria. So, Assyria takes the northern kingdom into captivity, and Babylon takes the southern kingdom into captivity. There's two scatterings. There's two captivities. There's two indignation. And I will bring Israel again to his habitation. He shall feed upon Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon Mount Ephraim and Gilead. In those days, and in that time, saith the Lord, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none, and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found, for I will pardon them whom I reserve. When is it that the sins are removed from God's people? Day of Atonement. So, this promise here is about the end of the world. This returning of Israel from this scattering is marking the Millerite history and our history at the end of the world. And if we had time, we could look at Ezekiel 37, where there are two sticks. But there's a promise that these two sticks represent two nations. But at the end of the world, you just put those sticks together, and God's people will ask you when you do that, what does these two sticks being put together mean? And it means that at the end of the world, these two sticks that represent the two 25-20 punishments against the Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom, that when the Lord gathers His people together at the end of the world, they will be one nation. Read Ezekiel 37, 15 and onward. But that's outside the scope of this study. And he said, in verse 19 of Daniel 8, And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation, for at the time of the point of the end shall be. And the point is, is that Daniel understood these things, and in verse 19 here, he's talking about the indignation that ends last. Okay? There's two scatterings. There's two indignations. And when Gabriel tells Daniel, I'll make you understand what shall be in the last end of the indignation, he's talking about this one. Not this one. He talks about this one in Daniel 11. We'll deal with that. Daniel marks both the ending points of both of these. Isaiah marks both the starting points of both these 25-20s. And Moses sets forth the duration of both these 25-20s on the testimony of three things established. Go to Leviticus 26. I think where it says 24 there, I meant to put 34. Reading from 24 onward would be fine. It would be good to go over this whole chapter. But what I'm wanting to put in place here is verse 34 and onward. So in verse 34 of Leviticus 26, well, look at verse 33. This is a curse of Moses for them breaking the covenant. We will come back to this chapter and deal with this in more detail. But in verse 33 it says, And I will scatter you. How many scatterings are there? There's two. Israel and Judah. I will scatter you among the heathen, will draw out a sword after you, and your land shall be desolate and your cities waste. Then shall your land enjoy her sabbath as long as it lieth desolate, and ye shall be in your enemy's land. Even then shall the land rest and enjoy her sabbath as long as it lieth desolate, it shall rest. Because it did not rest in your sabbath when you dwelt upon it. And drop down to verse 43. The land also shall be left of them and shall enjoy her sabbath while she lieth desolate without them. In this scattering time, the land is resting. May not mean anything to you at this point, but we will come back to this maybe a little bit today, but definitely tomorrow. First thing tomorrow. This here, this is one of the most important issues of the 2520. Because the modern theologians in Adventism today and the wannabe theologians in Adventism today that are fighting against the 2520, they're building their whole argument upon the Hebrew in Leviticus 26. That's where their whole argument lies. And that would be okay if William Miller said, I came to my conclusion about the 2520 based upon the Hebrew in Leviticus 26. But William Miller never says that. William Miller says, I came to my conclusion on the 2520 based upon the context of Leviticus 25 and 26. And to say William Miller's wrong because of the Hebrew language when he's basing it upon the context is what is known as misdirection. Because when you look at Miller's logic based upon context, it's immovable, it's unshakable. And you have to see that during these time periods it's a time when the land is resting. We'll come back to that. So, go to Daniel 11.36. It's only right that if Daniel identifies the last end of the indignation that he also identifies the first end of the indignation. And in verse 36 of Daniel 11, and this of course, this is the most controversial verse in Advent history concerning prophecy in my opinion. There's never been a verse that's caused more problems in Adventism and that's had a longer ongoing controversy than verse 36. Thank you, Uriah Smith. Uriah Smith gets to a point where he says the king of the north here in verse 36 is Turkey. Up until he said that for the first 40 years of Adventism everyone knew it was the papacy. It's simple grammar. Uriah Smith agrees that from verse 31 when the abomination of desolation is placed, that's what Uriah Smith teaches, that's the papacy. He understands that verse 32 is the papacy, verse 33 is the papacy, verse 34 is the papacy, verse 35 is the papacy. Uriah Smith agrees with that and he's correct. And then if you read Thoughts on Daniel and Revelation from Uriah Smith, and verse 36 says this, and the king, and the king, the grammar there can only be understood as being the king that's been discussed in verse 31, 32, 33, 34, 35. But when Uriah Smith is wanting to turn this king into a new power, turn it into Turkey, in Thoughts on Daniel and Revelation, you know what he says about the king? He says if we could say a king, then we would see a new power introduced. But we can't say a king. We don't even have the authority to change the word the to a. Not even that in God's Word. If it's the, it's got to stand as the. Alright? So this here is the papacy. Even the Protestant commentators will tell you that this verse here, verse 36, is most likely the verse that the Apostle Paul uses when he paraphrases this verse and puts his description of the man of sin in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2 where it says the man of sin sitting in the temple of God showing himself that he is God. Bible commentators will tell you that Paul is drawing those characteristics of the man of sin from verse 36. Okay, verse 36, papacy. No matter what Uriah Smith may have said about it. Now in verse 36 it says, The king, the papacy, shall do according to his will and he shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every God and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods and shall prosper, till when? Till the indignation be accomplished. And this indignation right here against the northern kingdom, it was accomplished in 1798. And what happened in 1798? Papacy receives a deadly wound. So Daniel here, in verse 36 of Daniel 11, he is marking 1798, he is marking the end of this 2520. But in Daniel 8, 19, Gabriel says to Daniel, I will make you show what will be in the last end of the indignation. So Daniel marks both endings. Do you see it? Okay. And I'm going to skip over the next verses. I'm going to trust that we can tell. There's more notes here tonight than we should probably. Brother DeWayne read me a quote today from the Spirit of Prophecy about keeping it short and sweet. So we're going to pass over that. Go to the Times of the Gentiles on page 3. There is more evidence that the end of the indignation in Daniel 11, 36, there's more evidence, internal evidence, in the book of Daniel to prove that, than I'm giving you right now. But I'm just putting it in place and moving forward. In Luke 21, 24, it says, And they shall fall by the edge of the sword and shall be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. And notice it does not say the time of the Gentiles. It says the times of the Gentiles. And this time is when the Northern Kingdom was scattered to the Gentiles. And this time is when the Southern Kingdom was scattered to the Gentiles. And these two 2520s are the times of the Gentiles. Okay? Now, they end at two different times. In Revelation 11, verse 2, it says, But the court which is without the temple leave out and measure it not for it is given unto who? The Gentiles and the Holy City. What's the Holy City? Jerusalem. Shall they tread underfoot forty and two months. And when does this forty and two months end? 1798. So that history there, time of the Gentiles. But in Daniel 8, 14, and Daniel 8, 14 is the answer to the question. The question is, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily transgression, the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation to give both the what? Sanctuary and the host to be trodden underfoot. So the question in verse 13 of Daniel 8 is, How long does the sanctuary and the host get trodden underfoot? And in verse 14, it says until 1844. Okay? In Daniel 8, 14, it's saying the treading down of Jerusalem. Isn't that where the sanctuary is at? It's in Jerusalem and God's people. It continues till 1844. In Revelation 11, 2, it's marking the conclusion of the treading down of the Holy City in 1798. Why? Because it's the times in the plural of the Gentiles. There are two scatterings. There are two indignations. And that's why. In the Great Controversy, page 410, Sister White's speaking about the 2300 year prophecy. And let's cut down to the last third of the paragraph there. It says the 70 weeks or 490 years. Are you with me? The 70 weeks or 490 years were to pertain especially to the Jews. At the expiration of this period, the nation sealed its rejection of Christ by the persecution of his disciples. And the apostles turned to who? The Gentiles, AD 34. The first 490 years of the 2300 having then ended, 1800 years would remain. From AD 34, 1800 years extend to 1844. Then said the angels shall the sanctuary be cleansed. Now notice what she says. All the preceding specifications of the prophecy had been unquestionably fulfilled at the time appointed. Now I skipped through that paragraph, but she went through the different portions of the 2300 days and says all the specifications had been perfectly fulfilled. And she's just told us that from AD 34 until 1844, that's when the gospel goes to the Gentiles. So what's the specification of that part of the prophecy? It's the time of the Gentiles. It ends in 1844. Follow me? Okay. So we're still dealing with Daniel 8, 19. At the time appointed, the end shall be. Okay, on the top of page 4. In verse 19 of Daniel 8, where it says we're at the time appointed, this word appointed is moed. And the definition you have there, it says from H 32, 15, and properly an appointment. That is a fixed time or season. Specifically a festival. Conventionally a year. By implication an assembly. Technically the congregation, the extension, the place of meeting. Also a signal, appointed, assembly, congregation. And the last part there, time appointed. When it says, when Gabriel says, I will show you what will be in the last end of the indignation for at the time appointed, the end shall be. This word moed is saying that this is marking a specific point in time. Alright? The last end of the indignation is 1844. It's a specific point in time. And that's how we've always understood moed, and we deal with it in Advent history a lot in connection with Daniel 12 especially. Okay, in Daniel 8, there are two visions. Chazon, may not be spelling it right in your notes, but it doesn't matter if I spell it right. Chazon and Mare. And you can look at these two visions, these two Hebrew words that are both translated as vision in Daniel 8. If you read Daniel 8 in the English, you will see the word vision ten times. But the ten times that the word vision appears there is two different Hebrew words that have two different meanings. But you can step outside of Daniel and you can find that throughout the Bible these two visions are the subject of a prophecy. Okay? Chazon means the complete vision. It's the vision of the prophetic history that unfolds. Mare means appearance. When Isaiah is humbled into the dust because he sees the glory of the Lord high and lifted up, that's the Mare vision. That's the appearance of Christ. When Daniel is humbled into the dust in Daniel 10, that's the Mare vision. When John the Revelator sees Christ in the same vision according to Sister White that Daniel had, that's the Mare vision. In the Bible, when the Mare vision is being identified, that's the vision of Ezekiel where he sees the wheels within the wheels. Okay? This is the revelation, the appearance of Jesus Christ. But the Chazon vision is the vision that sets forth the events of prophetic history. Okay? So, the word vision occurs 10 times in Daniel chapter 8. And, when you make a distinction about which word it is that's been translated vision, then Daniel chapter 8 begins to come alive compared to what we know at a surface level in Adventism. So, you see the definitions of Chazon there. It's a revelation, a vision. And then Mare, an appearance. If you go to Daniel 8, is everyone in Daniel 8? This is where we'll be for a little period of time. In Daniel 8, there are 10 times when the word vision occurs. Alright? But in Daniel 8 verse 15, it says, and it came to pass when I, even I, Daniel, had seen the vision, that word is Chazon vision, when I had seen the vision and sought for the meaning, then behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man. This word that's translated as appearance is Mare. Okay? Every other time it's used in Daniel 8, it's translated as vision. Here, it's translated as appearance because the primary meaning of Mare is appearance. Okay? He sees an appearance of a man. He's not seeing a sequence of prophetic history. There's a man standing in front of him. He appears. So, you can, I have listed for you some of the places where Mare occurs. You have it there in Daniel 8, 15. We just went through it. Numbers 12, 6. It says, and he said, hear now my words, if there be a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make myself known unto him in a vision. In what kind of vision? A Mare vision. I will appear to him. I won't make myself known to him by giving him the prophetic history. He's going to be confronted with Christ himself. That's the Mare vision. Ezekiel 8, 4, according to the vision, that's the Mare vision. And in Daniel 10, when Daniel is humbled into the dust, I have it there broke down for you that it's the Mare vision except for verse 14 where it says, now I have come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days for the Chauzon vision is yet for many days. Now the Chauzon vision, this is also the subject of Scripture. I'm on page 5 now where there is no Chauzon vision. Brothers and sisters, the Chauzon vision, this is the vision of the prophetic history. There may be a better way to express that. But this is an important thing to see because in this particular message, many times, many of the scoffers of this message or the critics of this message, they'll say, all we really need to have, brothers and sisters, is we need to have that relationship with Christ. We need to have the experience with Christ. We do not need to know all this prophetic stuff. Okay, and that's not what Sister White says. She says the ceiling is the settling into the truth both intellectually, there's the prophetic stuff, and spiritually so that we will not be moved. Being settled into spiritually is the mare vision. That's to have a personal confrontation of Jesus Christ in your life that humbles you in the dust like He did every time the prophets had a confrontation with Him so that He can justify you and lift you up and change you into His image. You have to have the mare. You have to settle in spiritually. But you don't get sealed unless you also settle in intellectually. That's the Chauzon vision. You're required to understand the message that God gives to His people at the end of the world because you are His messengers. You don't want to be... I never can remember this guy's story. Remember the battle's going on and there's a runner that wants to run to David and tell him the outcome of the battle and he takes off running and he's the fastest runner there is. And David and the generals see him coming. They know who he is by the way he runs. And he gets there. Pardon me? Ahimehaz. No, Ahimehaz. And he gets there and what doesn't he have? He doesn't have the message. He's a fast runner. You have to have the message too not just the experience. And here in Proverbs 29,18 where it says where there is no vision the people perish. That's the Chauzon vision. But He that keepeth the law happy is Him. And you'll find that when there's disobedience in God's people then there is no open vision as here in Samuel. It says And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli and the word of the Lord was precious in those days. There was no open Chauzon vision. There was no instruction about the events that were taking place because of their disobedience. So in Habakkuk 2 that is the point of reference that produces these two charts where it says write the vision and make it plain upon tables. That vision is the Chauzon vision. It's not the appearance of Christ. It's the prophetic history. And to be settled into the truth is to have both the Mari vision and the Chauzon vision in order to receive the seal of God. Now in Great Controversy 409 now we're on sacred ground. The foundation of these truths are the foundation of Adventism but the primary foundation of Adventism is Daniel 8 14. The scripture which above all others had been both the foundation and the central pillar of the Advent faith was the declaration unto 2,300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed. And what I'm saying is the men that are fighting against the 2520 and these foundational truths here at the end of the world they're paralleling the end of ancient Israel. Ancient Israel is the most perfect illustration of modern Israel. And at the end of ancient Israel's probationary time at the end of the 490 years the Pharisees were defending what they thought to be was the law of God. The law of God is represented on two tables. They thought they were defending the law of God and the law of God was walking among them and they participated in his crucifixion. They didn't know and there's a quote probably more than one but there's one quote where Sister White says Jesus was the foundation of the entire Jewish economy. They didn't know that they were thinking they were defending the foundations of their economy but they were fighting against it. So here we are at the end of the world. This is clearly the foundational truths of modern Israel and those people in Adventism that are fighting against these truths they don't realize that Sister White has told us that these truths here they represent the rock of ages. They represent Jesus Christ. They're fighting they're thinking they're defending the foundation of Adventism and they're fighting against it and the foundation of Adventism if you boil it down to the most fundamental one it's the 2300 days and at this point I want to show you something in this study that these men that are fighting the 2520 they don't know that in doing so they're destroying the 2300 days. They're destroying it. We'll try to show that to you. Simple logic. If you understand just the simple logic of it William Miller all he was seeing was 1843 1843 1843 1843 If you understand that much then you know that the Millerites never presented the 2300 days without presenting the 2520. The logic is there. So notice this next quote. Their great controversy page 351. This is one of the quotes that's under that's being attacked in connection with these foundational truths. The experience of the disciples who preached the gospel of the kingdom at the first Advent had its counterpart in the experience of those who proclaimed the message of the second Advent. As the disciples went out preaching the time is fulfilled the kingdom of God is at hand so Miller and his associates proclaimed the longest and last prophetic period brought to view and the Bible was about to expire that the judgment was at hand and the everlasting kingdom was to be ushered in. Brothers and sisters she doesn't say the longest time prophecy is the 2300 days there. Now I can see why people when we read on can say well that's the context but we will read on. The preaching of the disciples in regard to time was based upon the 70 weeks of Daniel 9 the message given by Miller and his associates announced the termination of the 2300 days of Daniel 8 14 of which the 70 weeks form a part. The preaching of each was based upon the fulfillment of a different portion of the same prophetic period. She doesn't say that but if you understand that they always preached this with this yeah they sure did and the historical evidence is that every one of them that used this chart the Millerite preachers all used this chart preached the 2520. Was Sister White a Millerite? She had Millerite mentality. She knew what the longest time prophecy in the Bible was and she knew what they presented. I don't know why there's people that stumble over some of the things that are being recognized in God's word here at the end of the world. In the sense that sometimes it's not simply God's word but it might be a verse in a chapter. I mean when you summarize the characteristic of Islam in the Bible in connection with September 11 2001 it's summarized for you in Revelation 9 11. 9 11 is summarizing the mentality of Islam on 9 11. But there's people that say hey that's stepping over the bounds that isn't the Hebrew and the Greek. What they forget is when I came into Adventism and I started studying the message that was taught by Adventists to bring other Adventists in and I'm sure all of you have been through it. When someone takes a non-Adventist through a study of the seven churches of Revelation this is just one example. We go through and we tell how the history of those churches is reflected in that message. How the geography of those churches is reflected in the message. Every little detail of the seven churches we have an answer for. So if God can control the history that surrounds the churches in Asia Minor if he can control where they were built what their names were in relation to his word then he does more than simply convey truth through the Hebrew and the Greek. So in Daniel 8 there's a way to define what the Mare Vision is and in Daniel 8, 26 which is under Evening and Mornings it says and the Mare Vision I'm at the bottom of page 5 under Evening and Mornings it says and the vision the Mare Vision of the evening Arab and the morning Bogor which was told is true wherefore shut up thou the vision the Chazon Vision for it shall be for many days. Okay? Now this Hebrew phrase of Arabs Erebs and Bogors however you pronounce that that's often used in the Bible and the evening and the morning were the first day and the evening and the morning was the second day in fact everywhere in the Bible that you see this expression Arab and Bogor occur it's translated as Evenings and Mornings everywhere every single time and it's used often except for one there's only one place in the Bible where this Hebrew phrase Erebs and Bogors is not translated as Evenings and Mornings you know where that is? Daniel 8.14 under 2300 days for me that's not an accident the Lord is saying to us because this is the foundation of Adventism He's saying you need to understand you need to see that it was important to me to isolate this verse to this extent so that you see that this verse is special ok when verse 26 says and the vision of the evening and morning which is told you is true and the word translated vision there is Mare and then you see evening and morning in Daniel 8.14 only there it's translated simply as days the Lord wants us to understand that verse 14 the 2300 years is the Mare vision we have to understand that He's taken extra steps to make sure that we understand that and in a moment perhaps you'll see why that is ok now on page 6 verse 13 of of Daniel 8 says Then I heard one saint speaking and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake how long and it's how long it's not when how long being duration if it was when it would be a point in time and the theologians that are fighting this message they'll say that the Hebrew word that is translated here how long is sometimes in the Bible translated as when so what? the people that translated the King James Bible who we know were being led by the Lord they evaluated that and in this verse they determined that the best sense of it was how long ok that's what it says how long which means it's a question of duration how long shall be the vision this is the Chalzone vision how long shall be the complete vision Chalzone means the complete vision of prophetic history how long shall be the complete vision concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden underfoot and you have early writings page 74 there where Sister White says then I saw in relation to the daily that the word sacrifice was supplied by man's vision wisdom and does not belong to the text and how many supplied words are there in the Bible probably hundreds every time you see a word italicized it's a supplied word how many supplied words in the Bible has inspiration told us this should not be there only one this is an important point when it comes to the daily in the book of Daniel that word sacrifice does not belong there so we're going to read it that way how long shall be the complete vision concerning paganism and papalism because the pioneers were united on what the daily represented and if you were here last night and if you weren't and you have the notes from last night you have a quote in there where Sister White in writing 74 most of us know in the quotes here that this chart was directed by the hand of the Lord and it should not be altered the 1843 chart but sometimes we're not aware that she says that I saw that there was a prophecy of this chart in the Bible ok she places the same endorsement upon this chart as that chart and when it comes to the daily on this chart all it says is taking away of the daily sacrifice that's all it says but this is the chart that was to be corrected and this is the correction so here when it comes to 508 it doesn't say that over here it says taking away of the daily sacrifice here this is the corrected chart the daily pagan dominion or the daily taken away this chart plainly says that the daily is paganism and this chart has God's seal of approval on it ok there's not only one place where God uses Sister White to endorse that the daily is paganism when she endorses this chart she's doing that same thing and then of course she says to Daniels and Prescott when they were teaching that the daily represented Christ's sanctuary ministry that they got that message from angels that were expelled from heaven it's your choice the spirit of prophecy is clear the daily is paganism ok how long should be the complete vision concerning paganism and papalism and if we work in the definition of this word how long should be the complete vision in Daniel chapter 8 by context this question in verse 13 you first have to address it in Daniel chapter 8 so it's saying how long is the complete vision in Daniel chapter 8 concerning paganism and papalism and then it tells us what they're going to do that are going to trample down the sanctuary and the host and the answer is verse 14 verse 13 is the question verse 14 is how long should be the complete vision verse 14 is the answer and the answer is 1844 they're going to do it until 1844 you with me yes now in the center of page 6 just to put this in the record where it says 457 or 31 AD what I mean by that is the question is about how long is the complete vision concerning the daily and the transgression of desolation at the beginning of Adventism in the Millerite history and here at the end of the world everyone agrees that the transgression of desolation is the papacy no argument there the argument is over what the daily is how long is the complete vision concerning paganism and papalism that's pioneer position and the pioneers say well the complete vision in Daniel 8 it begins in the Medes and the Persians that's where Daniel 8 begins in the Medes and the Persians and they say was the sanctuary and the host being trampled down in the history of the Medes and the Persians and they say yes it was and then they look at the decrees and they arrive at 457 for the starting point of this vision ok in the question how long should be the complete vision concerning paganism and papalism you have to it's about duration how long so you have to have a starting point what's the duration under 2300 years so they start in 457 and they project 2300 years into the future to get the answer and where does that come out to 1844 now if you believe that the daily represents Christ's sanctuary ministry when did Christ begin his sanctuary ministry 8031 8031 so if you believe that then you destroy 1844 if you're teaching that the daily represents Christ's sanctuary ministry you just destroy Daniel 8.14 the sanctuary doesn't get cleansed until 2331 and that's not anything that that I come up with that's William Miller's argument and William Miller is spot on on that argument ok continuing on the sanctuary and the host the Bible and the theologians of Adventism will agree with this and they're right when you see the sanctuary in the Bible it's automatically understood that God's people are with it ok you don't you don't separate God's people from the sanctuary notice there in Exodus 25.8 and let them make me a sanctuary that I might dwell among them the purpose of the sanctuary is so God can dwell among his people you cannot separate the sanctuary from the people and there's really no disagreement in Adventism on this so how long is the complete vision concerning paganism and papalism to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden underfoot ok there's two things that get trodden down here the sanctuary and the host but they're connected they're connected alright so after Daniel sees the the child's own vision that's Daniel 8 verse 1 through Daniel 12 that's the complete vision of prophetic history after he sees the complete vision of 1 through 12 then he hears a heavenly dialogue he hears one saint speaking to another saint which said how long should be the complete vision concerning paganism and papalism that is going to trample down the sanctuary and the host then he hears the answer under 2300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed and then in verse 15 it says this under the Mare vision on the bottom of page 6 it says and it came to pass when I even I Daniel had seen the child's own vision this is the complete vision of prophetic history when I'd seen the complete vision and thought for the meaning then behold there stood before me the appearance of a man and I heard a voice so a man standing in front hears a voice between the banks of the Uli which called and said Gabriel make this man to understand what? the Mare vision Daniel's trying to understand the child's own vision the vision of prophetic history and as he's trying to figure out what all what he just saw and what it meant then Gabriel's standing before him and he hears Christ say to Gabriel Gabriel make Daniel understand the Mare vision what's the Mare vision? it's the vision of the Arabs and the Bogers the evening and the mornings make Daniel understand the 2300 year prophecy that was Gabriel's command ok so in the next verse it says so I came so he came near where I stood and when he came I was afraid and fell upon my face what do we know about Daniel? would it be wrong to say that Daniel was a perfect man? and perfect love cast out fear? so here's Daniel a perfect man and when this angel comes to him what's he do? because of fear he falls on his face ok fear God and give him glory does not mean reverence God and give him glory fear God and give him glory is identifying a message that humbles a human being into the dust at the foot of the cross because they're afraid if they don't turn loose of their sins they're going to die ok Daniel experienced enough fear that he fell on his face but that's a different subject so he came near where I stood and when he came I was afraid and fell upon my face but he said unto me understand son of man for at the time of the end shall be the child's own vision that's the complete vision it's not the Mare vision the first thing Gabriel says is this child's own vision of prophetic history it will be at the time of the end what's the time of the end? 1798 this child's own vision it's relevance is going to come into history in 1798 when the book of Daniel is unsealed he said Daniel was trying to understand the child's own vision and Gabriel says that's for the future set that out of your mind ok the child's own vision is at the time of the end verse 19 and you can see a couple other references that the child's own vision is sealed up until 1798 but drop down to verse where it says last end 1844 verse 19 after he says that the complete vision is sealed up until the time of the end the next verse Gabriel says and he said behold I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation for at the time appointed the end shall be who did Gabriel replace? Lucifer and what does Lucifer mean? so Gabriel is the one that's been taking the light to God's creation since Lucifer fell right? so Gabriel has delivered the light of God's word to the prophets throughout history and one of the main principles that Gabriel conveyed to the prophets was upon the testimony of two a thing is to be established Gabriel has just been commanded make Daniel to understand 1844 the 2300 year vision isn't that what he was commanded to do? make him understand the Mare vision so in verse 19 what Gabriel does he takes up his task and he says so understand O son of man for sorry behold I will make thee know what shall be the last end of the indignation what was Gabriel doing? he was giving him a second testimony to 1844 upon the testimony of two a thing is established brothers and sisters if you threw out the 2520 you do not have a second testimony for 1844 you can be the most important theologian in Adventism and claim you lack a second witness for 1844 and of course if you also at the same time hold the view that the daily is Christ's sanctuary ministry you destroy it from another direction but there's more to it let's continue on where it says cleansed under 2300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed you can see the definition for this word that's translated as cleansed it says it means to be to be cleansed something wasn't right with the sanctuary it had to be made right in this history just to see if you're following me what was wrong with the sanctuary in this history there was no host he had broken the covenant with ancient Israel there was no host connected with the sanctuary and the sanctuary has always got to have a host connected to it 1844 brothers and sisters in 1844 he has to make the sanctuary right so not only does he have to cleanse the sanctuary restore the sanctuary but he has to raise up a host that are connected to it under 2300 then shall the sanctuary be made right the 2300 year prophecy it's about the sanctuary the 2520 it's the host you have to have both those prophecies in order to make the sanctuary right you follow the logic it's not just about a second witness for 1844 the 2520 is about gathering of people together that the lord enters into covenant with on 1844 in order for the sanctuary to be cleansed in order for it to be made right there has to be a people that's established in a covenant relationship with Christ and that prophecy is the 2520 you throw that out you throw out the 2520 you've destroyed your second witness for 1844 and there is no host the sanctuary is not made right it's not justified it's not cleansed because the covenant has been broken these punishments here for both the northern and southern kingdom are punishments that mark the breaking of the covenant with ancient Israel the promise is that at the end of this time period in 1844 the lord is going to enter into covenant with the people that he gathers together and from 1798 to 1844 he is gathering the people that he is going to enter into covenant with notice on the bottom of page 7 the coming of Christ as our high priest to the most holy place for the cleansing of the sanctuary brought to view in Daniel 8.14 what's the cleansing of the sanctuary how do we understand it in Adventism what goes on what's represented by the cleansing the judgment the judgment the judgment the judgment right ok the coming of the son of man to the ancient of days as presented in Daniel 7.13 what's Daniel 7.13 about not about judgment it's about Christ receiving a kingdom ok this is a different prophecy that's fulfilled at the very same point in time they're connected but Daniel 7.13 is about Christ coming to receive a kingdom Daniel 8.14 is about the cleansing of the sanctuary and she continues on what's the description of the Lord to his temple foretold by Malachi are descriptions of the same event what's the description of Malachi he's purifying a people is he not this is the two temple cleansings is it not those of you that have been here this week this isn't about the judgment this isn't about Christ receiving a kingdom this is about a people that get purified in this history and this is also represented by Christ in the parable of the ten virgins so we have four prophecies that she's noted here they're all fulfilled on 1844 in order for the sanctuary to be cleansed this word means justified it means made right in order for the sanctuary to be made right on 1844 not only does the sanctuary have to be restored the host has to be restored and the prophecy that is addressing the establishment of the host is the 2520 throughout the 2520 and you're destroying Adventism and of course that's just how Miller he didn't preach he had the understanding we have here but the Millerites never separated the 2520 from the 2300 so he was correct nonetheless even if he didn't understand some of the deeper implications of it he was still doing the very thing that Gabriel had led him to do okay so you see there under Daniel 7.13 a kingdom received Daniel 8.14 the investigative judgment you see a quote from the spirit of prophecy there about Christ receiving his kingdom Daniel 7.13 is more about Christ receiving his kingdom than it is about the investigative judgment you can't separate them I'm not saying you should separate them just a different line of truth that gets laid Malachi 3 is the messenger of the covenant let's read Malachi 3 it wasn't supposed to move forward I'm on the bottom of page 8 it says behold I will send my messenger and he will prepare the way before me who was his messenger that prepared the way before him in 1844 William Miller okay and the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to his temple even the messenger of the covenant who's the Lord whom they're seeking Christ Christ and he suddenly comes to his temple so when you when you no when you relate this to 1844 sister we just read where sister White says this was fulfilled in 1844 this is Daniel 8.14 Daniel 7.13 in Malachi 3 okay when you apply this to 1844 then it's Miller that's the messenger that prepares his way and the messenger of the covenant is Christ who's about to enter into covenant with modern Israel correct and it says the Lord whom you seek shall suddenly come to his temple wasn't Christ already in the temple he was already in the temple wasn't he he ascended to the temple in 1831 he never stepped out of the temple did he so this temple is not the sanctuary okay so the temple he suddenly comes to on October 22nd 1844 that Malachi is addressing is the temple that he raises up to enter into covenant with because he's the messenger of the covenant this isn't the most holy place temple no it's the host it's the temple of his people that he's going to enter into covenant with yes now go to the next page go to the next page alright it says in days of old are you are you with me we're about we're almost done here from Exodus 19 verses 5 and 6 now therefore if you will obey my voice indeed and keep my covenant then you shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people for all the earth is mine and you shall be a kingdom of Israel this is dealing with when the Lord entered into covenant with ancient Israel but he entered into covenant with the Christian church in the time period of Peter in the time period of Pentecost when Joel was fulfilled for the first time and Peter speaks about that history notice in 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 2 through 12 it's in your notes as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow if so ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious to whom coming as unto a living stone disallowed indeed of men but chosen of God and precious ye also as lively stones are what? built up a spiritual house the Christian church was built up as a spiritual house is a spiritual house a temple? the Lord raised up a temple that he was going to enter into covenant with the history of Pentecost and that's what Peter is speaking about here you also as lively stones are built up a spiritual house a holy priesthood to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ wherefore also it's contained in the scripture behold I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone elect precious he that believeth on this cornerstone in Isaiah he says it's the foundation now this is important this is important but know it that when Peter says it's contained in scripture you have the scripture he's quoting from right underneath here but I'm running out of time so I'm just telling you what it is Peter paraphrases it a little differently but Isaiah says that this cornerstone is the foundation stone precious he that believeth on him shall not be confounded unto you therefore which believe he is precious but unto them that be disobedient the stone which is the foundation the stone which the builders disallowed the same as made the head of the corner and a stone of stumbling that's the everlasting gospel brothers and sisters two classes were developed in this history those that are disobedient and those that weren't obedient and the everlasting gospel is Christ's work in producing two classes of worshippers based upon the introduction of a prophetic message were there two classes of worshippers produced in the time of Pentecost when the Lord was entering into covenant with the Christian church was there two classes of worshippers produced in the Millerite history and he was setting aside the Protestants and entering into covenant with the fifty people that moved into the most holy place what were the fifty people what were they they were the spiritual house that he had built up they were the temple that he suddenly came to on October twenty second he came to them as the messenger of the covenant suddenly to enter into covenant with them ok um now go to the next page I skipped over Isaiah the stone is stumbling the thing that Peter says the prophetic message that Peter is identifying that he is quoting Isaiah from that causes the disobedient and the obedient to be demonstrated was the foundation and we are saying that here at the end of the world the prophetic message that causes the two classes of Adventist to be separated and then demonstrated is the foundational truth ok so you see that connection but I want to close with something here he suddenly comes to his temple to enter into covenant with them he is the prophet and the prophet of Isaiah the prophet of Christ the prophet of Israel the prophet of God and of Israel in Bethany he went back to Israel and he went to Noah and he walked with Noah and walked for six years with six days no rain for many days no rain for how many days did the Lord was called into the cloud and stayed there for forty days he was forty-six days on the mount receiving the instructions for building the temple and receiving the two tables of the covenant have you ever noticed that the one table that this was the two ten commandments up here that this table has the first four commandments and this table has what forty six have you ever seen that it's the two tables of the covenant right there's forty-six for you right here with it go to john two right after Christ cleansed the temple in verse 18 it says then answered the Jews and said unto him unto Christ after he cleanses the temple Moses was forty-six days receiving the instructions on raising up the temple now Jesus is asked this question and he makes the subject the raising up of the temple and in verse twenty what did he say in verse twenty-six the Millerites from seventeen ninety-eight to eighteen forty-four is forty-six years this is the time that Christ was building up the Millerite temple now this isn't on the charts and I get criticism for everything so I'll get criticism for this but I'm going to put it up there anyway from the Millerites talked about the great jubilee and they marked the beginning of the great jubilee in verse twenty-five and the reason they did it if you go back to Leviticus twenty-five I'm almost done Leviticus twenty-five verse eight Leviticus twenty-five is the statutes of the sacred cycle of seven it's the chapter where every seven cycles of seven you let the land rest an extra year to celebrate the jubilee and in verse eight of Leviticus twenty-five it says and now shall number seven Sabbaths of years unto thee seven times seven years and the space of seven Sabbaths of years shall be unto thee and the day of atonement arrives which they thought was the destruction of the earth by fire but they knew it was the day of atonement so they knew on the day of atonement you also blow the jubilee trumpet so they started at the destruction of Jerusalem and they did what they called the destruction of Jerusalem in six oh six six oh five it comes to eighteen forty four so even though it isn't on the chart I don't have a problem putting it up there because I don't think that's an accident either alright? But what we're doing is we're starting but what we're dealing with here is we're dealing with this is the great jubilee that's a four ok 2450 it's 49 cycles jubilee cycles being 50 years 40 of 9 cycles equals 2450 if you begin at the destruction of Jerusalem six oh six is the day of atonement ok but what we're dealing with is that the number 46 is associated with the covenant and the temple right? So if you take this jubilee cycle 50 and you divide it into the 2300 year prophecy it equals 46 that's pretty cool huh? But the one I like the one that just blows my mind is on the next page the final page page 11 1st Corinthians 619 what? Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you which you have of God and you are not in the temple of the Holy Ghost which you have 46 it sounds a little bit silly but think about it brothers and sisters that's not an accident that's the signature of the creator God shall we pray? Amen Heavenly Father we thank you that we can come together in such easy times on this Sabbath and consider your word we thank you that you've allowed us to understand the truth that you're opening up here at the end of the world but we find ourselves incapable of receiving all this in the proper way and teaching it in the proper way we ask that you would grant us the strong working of the Holy Spirit in each of our individual lives that we can be guided and directed and convicted as we need to be in order to not only be settled into this message intellectually but to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to transform us into your image that we might be settled into the truth spiritually that we might receive the seal of the Holy Spirit in each of our individual lives we ask that you would help us to keep these holy thoughts upon our minds that these sacred 24 hours would be a time that we spend fully with you we ask for traveling mercies good night's rest and that you bring us back here tomorrow to continue taking this theme to the end of the sabbath hours in Jesus name amen
