And Satan takes reigns of this country, national apostasy followed by national ruin, because as we read in our last presentation, as we depart farther and farther away from God's Word as a people, Satan has more power to bring his destruction upon the earth. And likewise, not just destruction, he has more power then to work his miracles. When the United States passes the Sunday Law in Revelation 13, 11, then in prophecy we see the miracles brought together with the United States to deceive the world. And although Satan is certainly performing false miracles in the world today, and you can easily demonstrate this in the charismatic movement, or the apparitions of Mary, or what's going on in spiritualism today, he's active, he's accomplishing false miracles. The miracle working time of Satan that the Bible points to most specifically, in conjunction with the United States, immediately follows the Sunday Law. Testimonies, Volume 5, 451. By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power. When she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism. When, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its constitution as a Protestant and Republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions. Then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan, and that the end is near. Now, if you haven't noticed before in the spirit of prophecy, the when-then, you need to notice it. Sister White uses the when-then over and over again. And if you don't look for it, you don't see it. But once you look for it, it starts bringing these way marks into alignment. Sister White here gave an example of it. She says, when this, when this, when this, when this, then, she says, when Protestantism shall stretch its hand across the gulf, when Protestantism shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, the third when, when under the influence of this threefold union, Protestantism, the papacy, spiritualism, then, she says, when we see these threefold powers come together, then we know that it's time for Satan to do his marvelous workings. And in other places where she talks about these threefold union coming together, these, this union takes place prophetically at the Sunday Law.
