The Vineyard Movement, we can see not only holy laughter, but the promise keepers, and the people that are associated with these movements believe they're involved with a revival. And we know that at the Sunday Law, God's church is purified, and then the latter rain is poured out in earnest, without measure, even though it will no doubt be trickling on some before that time. But before the great latter rain, the real thrust of it begins, we've been told that there will be a false revival that Satan will attempt to bring in to undermine the true. Early writings, page 261 says this, I saw that God has honest children among the nominal Adventists and the fallen churches, and before the plague shall be poured out, ministers and people will be called out from these churches and will gladly receive the truth. Satan knows this, and before the loud cry of the third angel is given, he raises an excitement in these religious bodies that those who have rejected the truth may think that God is with them. Brothers and sisters, that excitement is going on today. In the secular TV of today, over the past 10, 15 years, this false, charismatic revival that's taking place in the Protestant churches in the United States, there's been specials from the secular world documenting what's going on in this false revival. This false revival that Sister White warned us would precede the true is well underway. In Great Controversy 464, Sister White says this, notwithstanding the widespread declination of faith and piety, there are true followers of Christ in these churches. Before the final visitation of God's judgment upon the earth, there will be among the people of the Lord such a revival of primitive godliness as has not been witnessed since apostolic times. The spirit and power of God will be poured out upon his children, and at that time, many will separate themselves from those churches in which the love of this world has supplanted love for God and his word. Many, both of ministers and people, will gladly accept those great truths which God has caused to be proclaimed at this time to prepare a people for the Lord's second coming. The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work, and before the time for such a movement shall come, he will endeavor to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In those churches which he can bring under his deceptive power, he will make it appear that God's special blessing is poured out. There will be manifest what is thought to be
