This is a way mark. This day with God, page 163. Now listen to this closely because there's groups of people involved in here and when you see the groups of people that she speaks about here, you see a transition taking place and you see a door closed on a certain group of people. Many who have known the truth have corrupted their way before God and have departed from the faith. The broken ranks will be filled up by those represented by Christ as coming in at the eleventh hour. There are many with whom the Spirit of God is striving. The time of God's destructive judgments is a time of mercy for those who have no opportunity to learn what is truth. Tenderly will the Lord look upon them. His heart of mercy is touched. His hand is stretched out to save while the door is closed to those who would not enter. Large numbers will be admitted who in these last days hear the truth for the first time. Brothers and sisters, this time of God's destructive judgments, Sister White has already identified for us in earlier passage in this presentation, national apostasy is followed by national ruin. National apostasy takes place at the Sunday Law. At the Sunday Law begins the time of God's destructive judgments, but this time period is a time of mercy for the eleventh hour workers who have never known what truth is. But there was a group prior to this time that had not prepared their character for the seal of God, for the latter reign, and while the door is open for those children in Babylon to come and make their stand with those that were sealed at the beginning of the test at the Sunday Law, that door is closed to those who would not enter. We see here being described for us the purification of the church. We see God's church today preparing to receive either the seal of God or the mark of the beast and we come to the test of the Sunday Law and character is demonstrated.
