Malachi Martin, a Vatican insider, a Jesuit, believed that the ultimate victor in this race to dominate a one world government that he addresses would be the Vatican. And as we sit in world history today, we see that the only two powers left in his prediction are the United States and the Vatican. And this is in agreement with the information that we looked at in Daniel 11, 40-45. We looked below the surface of simply the King of the South and the King of the North in that passage and identified that there was a spiritual struggle that begins in verse 40 of Daniel 11 and it continues until the King of the North comes to his end with none to help in verse 45. But this spiritual battle was between the philosophy, initially the King of the South of atheism and Catholicism, the King of the North, but when the time comes when there's an alliance formed to sweep away the philosophy of atheism, a new philosophy joins this scenario as represented by the United States and we can call that philosophy Protestantism. Revelation 16 tells us that there's three powers that lead the world, the Armageddon, the Dragon, the Beast, and the False Prophet. And as we continue through this particular study, we will demonstrate that these three powers are the same three powers that Malachi Martin speaks of. They're the same three powers that are woven into the story of verses 40-45 of Daniel 11. And the emphasis, the bottom line of our previous study of the final rise and fall of the King of the North is that there is a Sunday Law imminent in the United States and that Sunday Law brings with it the beginning of the close of probation for all living mankind. It begins first with Seventh-day Adventists as they will have the knowledge of the issues connected with Sabbath and Sunday, so they will be the first confronted with that test and put in a position to either receive the mark of the Beast or the seal of God. And as some have criticized or critiqued or wondered about these particular presentations in prophecy, one of the avenues that they try to suggest that these presentations are not in align with what we would call present truth for this time and hour is the emphasis on the fact that probation is about to close. Not only is a Sunday Law imminent in the United States, but the Sunday Law is the place identified in the spirit of prophecy where Seventh-day Adventists will either choose for the mark of the Beast or the seal of God. One passage in the spirit of prophecy, one among many, where we make a defense of that position that the message that probation is about to close is a genuine message, and there are several ways to respond to that criticism. One passage, though, we can begin our study with here called, from fundamentals.
