uses to bring the judgment of the living to a close. That is the issue. So therefore, the Sunday Law test corresponds to the work that Christ is doing in the most holy place. And the work that Christ is doing in the most holy place also is a progression. It begins with the dead, and at some point in time, and Sister White says no man know the day or hour that the judgment of the living begins, so please don't say I'm identifying that. At some point in time, it moves from the dead to the living. We also know, in connection with the judgment, that judgment begins with the house of God. First the house of God is judged, and then it moves out into the world where God's other children outside of the house of God will pass through their Sunday test, and their time period of being judged during the judgment of the living will take place, and then human probation will close. So there's a progression. And in many things that we understand about Bible prophecy, this progression is there. And if you don't think about it, you don't realize it, and they're virtually all tied together. Another one is this. Sister White's clear that after the Sunday Law in the United States, and she says this in many places, national apostasy is followed by national ruin. And although we are having calamities right now that are escalating and increasing and contributing to the environment necessary for a Sunday Law to be passed, when the Sunday Law is passed, things are only going to get worse, and those things only continue to get worse as mankind more and more rejects the truth, ultimately culminating with the close of human probation, and then they even get worse with the seven last plagues. So there's a progression of escalating disasters, and that progression is also paralleling another progression that's taking place right now, and that is that the Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the earth. Every day there's less and less of the restraining influence of the angels and the Spirit of God. So there's this progression that pervades almost all aspects of Bible prophecy, and we will look at that later on today. We'll touch on it, and I want you to be familiar with it before we do. And one progression that Sister White identifies for us is that there's a progression in connection with the Sunday Law, and you can see, we won't read these, but this clasping hands with potpourri, you will find passages where Sister White, and you can see a couple of them here in the first one, where she's identifying that Protestantism is now stretching its hands to clasp hands with Rome, and that's prophetically symbolizing the compromises and the political environment that's developing that leads to the Sunday Law.
