The bottom of the page 627 it says this, when Christ ceases his intercession in the sanctuary, the unmingled wrath threatened against those who worship the beast in his image and receive his mark will be poured out. Back here, when Satan is personating Christ, that group of people that are going to receive this wrath, it's in the future. So even the chapter this brother refers to as the one that established that Satan's personation of Christ takes place after the close of human probation, even that very chapter doesn't agree with his premise. And brothers and sisters, this is just one of the concepts that's out there concerning these events that we're told will be discerned by prophecy. Now if you want a reference for where Sister White says the same line of reasoning is taken up in Revelation as Daniel, that's Manuscript Releases, Volume 8, 413. And let's move on now to one other teaching about what takes place right at the time period when Michael stands up. Now this one is perhaps a little bit more sensitive because it's something that's taught by the leadership of the church. This is a book called The History and Teaching of the Shepherd's Rod, and it's put together by the Committee on Defense Literature of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, October 1955. And on page 21 of this book, and believe me brothers and sisters, Shepherd's Rod has so many inconsistencies and out-and-out falsehoods that don't read into this that I have any sympathy with anything that they're teaching. They use at some times, they try to apply prophecy in its literal setting and then for no recognizable reasoning, at another time they'll switch and try to apply prophecy spiritually. Hotef, the leader and founder of this movement, made false prophecies that did not come to pass. He predicted that he would be alive and he would be among the 144,000. He's been dead many years. Why people can still accept his false premises after that, just that alone is amazing to me. And he has a false premise about probation. It isn't what you've been hearing here, but it's similar. He teaches that probation closes at two times, once for Adventists and then when Michael stands up. What you've been hearing here is that probation closed progressively, but nevertheless, as this booklet was put together by the GC Brethren.
