that misunderstanding and then several months later they came to an understanding of when the 2300 day prophecy started, specifically started, and it allowed them to calculate October 22nd, 1844, and his sister White's describing the discovery of that new prophetic truth. She's clear that that's what brought about the revival that we know is the Midnight Cry. And therefore we can take that history and bring it home to the end of the world and suggest that at the end of the world God's people will have a prophetic message that they're taking to the world, and the prophetic message that Adventists at the end of the world are raised up to share is not the Daniel 8 14, although that is definitely part of it, but we are the message bearers of the third angel's message. We are those that are raised up to clarify the issues concerning the mark of the beast. That's the message that we have been proclaiming since the beginning of Adventism, and therefore we should expect a prophetic message directly connected to the the third angel's message that will add some insight to that message, and this insight from prophecy will bring about this revival that we look forward to called the latter rain. If we are believing that prophecy is simply a doctrine that we can hand to someone in a book and it describes who the powers are in Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Daniel 8, Revelation 13, if that's how we understand prophecy, then we do not have the personal motivation to be digging for unfolding light, and prophecy is unfolding light. Prophecy is a truth that develops, it becomes brighter and brighter, there's more information. We have to have that attitude, and as I was talking here at the beginning, I was talking to a brother that's coming to understand these things too. He called me one day and he says, you know, I was just reading Ezekiel 37 and the vision of the dry bones, and those dry bones that Ezekiel was used to bring back to life, what brought him back to life was prophecy, and I said yes, there's many illustrations of this truth in the Word of God. I said you need to look at what Sister White says about Ezekiel's vision of dry bones, and I'd like to read a passage from Bible Commentary, volume 4, page 1165 to 1166 about Ezekiel's vision of the dry bones, and notice that as we go through, that there's a prophetic message that Ezekiel is symbolizing at the end of the world, because each of the ancient prophets spoke more for our day than the days in which they lived, according to Sister White and according to the Bible.
