But when you get to chapter 12, and you have Michael standing up, it's obviously at the end of the world. So this daily in verse 11 has to be something else. And brothers and sisters, it's not up to someone who upholds the pioneer position to make a defense why this word daily in verse 11 of chapter 12 is the same as the other dailies. The burden by the context of the book of Daniel isn't for that position to have to defend or prove that this daily of verse 11 is the same as found in chapter 11 and chapter 8. The burden of proof falls upon those who seek to say that this daily in chapter 12 is some different historical symbolic event at the end of the world. Because by context in the book of Daniel, there is no evidence whatsoever from beginning to end that the daily in verse 11 of chapter 12 is anything but the identical daily that's found in chapter 11 and chapter 8. Brothers and sisters, one thing that needs to be remembered in this consideration is that the last vision of Daniel is chapters 10 through 12. And when we find Daniel speaking about the daily in chapter 11 verse 31, and then we find him speaking about the daily once again in chapter 12 verse 11, it's the same vision to think that we have some kind of internal evidence in this last vision that suggests that the first time Daniel uses the term daily in this last vision in verse 31 of chapter 11, that that needs to be understood differently than how he uses the daily in verse 11 of chapter 12. Those that seek to say there is a difference are the ones that have the burden of proof on their shoulders because it isn't there. It's in the same vision Daniel uses the word daily two times and to suggest that it's two different things. The internal evidence says it cannot be. In verse 31 of Daniel 11, it says, "...shall take away the daily sacrifice." In verse 11 of chapter 12, it says that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away. What is it that would allow us to say, well, these must be two different things? In chapter 11, this is pagan Rome, but in chapter 12, this is something at the end of the world. Brothers and sisters, it's totally inconsistent. This daily of verse 11 of chapter 12 is as the pioneers understood it. It's identifying when the resistance that had been opposing Catholicism in the form of paganism...
