The time appointed isn't the end of the 360-year time period that pagan Rome would rule the world. It's the end of the 1260 years that papal Rome would rule the world. But also, in verse 35, we see this connection between the time appointed and the time of the end. Daniel is saying the time of the end is the time appointed. These terms are just different ways of saying the same thing. The time appointed is the time of the end. So when you get to verse 40, and it says at the time of the end, well, the narrative is speaking about papal Rome in verse 40, it has to be the time prophecy associated with papal Rome, which would be 1798. And when you see this principle identified in the book of Daniel, then you understand that when Sister White identifies 1798, 1843, and 1844 as the time of the end, that she's in complete agreement with Daniel. The end of a time prophecy is the time of the end. And the time prophecies that have bearing in the book of Daniel, and that would come to pass in the Millerite time period, are these very same time prophecies. Point being is that from 1798 to 1844, in a general sense, this is the beginning of the time of the end. But to be prophetically accurate, the time of the end is the term that identifies the end of a time prophecy. Daniel also upholds this in Daniel chapter 8. And once again, I would recommend you this study on Daniel 8, the mystery of the daily. If you contact us, you can look through it. But in Daniel 8, you'll find that Daniel uses words in a very powerful way. There's 10 places in Daniel 8 where the word vision is found, but it is two different Hebrew words that's translated as vision in Daniel chapter 8. And one of the words means the complete vision, and one of them means the snapshot, just a little piece of the vision. You'll find in verse 1 and 2, the word vision, and that's talking about the total vision. In verse 13, you'll see the word vision with the question, how long shall be the vision concerning the daily? That's the complete vision. The question is, how long is the total vision that Daniel's seeing here in chapter 8?
