is in complete agreement with the subject of the verse. It's speaking about Catholicism. Here's the power that places it upon the throne of the earth. And Catholicism lasts until 1798. And then verse 12 can't be separated. It says, "...Blessed is he that waiteth and cometh to the 1,305 and 30 days," the 1335. And the starting point for this 1335 is the same starting point, 508. And when you run 1,335 years beyond 508, you come to 1843. This is how the pioneers understood it. And brothers and sisters, in 1843, there was a blessing that was going to take place. Now it doesn't seem, in my personal experience, it doesn't seem that many in Adventism have internalized what that blessing was, but it definitely took place. Sister White understood it and spoke about it specifically. Manuscript Releases, Volume 2, page 20, says this, "...Blessed are the eyes which saw the things that were seen in 1843 and 1844. The message was given, and there should be no delay in repeating the message, for the signs of the time are fulfilling. The closing work must be done. A great work will be done in a short time. A message will soon be given by God's appointment that will swell into a loud cry. Then Daniel will stand in his lot to give his testimony. The attention of our churches must be aroused. We are standing upon the border of the greatest event in the world's history, and Satan must not have power over the people of God, causing them to sleep on. The papacy will appear in its power. All must now arouse and search the scriptures, for God will make known to his faithful ones what shall be in the last time. The word of the Lord is to come to his people in power." Manuscript Releases, Volume 2, page 20. Now, brothers and sisters, Sister White is saying there's a blessing. There was a blessing associated with 1843. Blessed are the eyes which saw the things that were seen in 1843 and 1844. And she says that blessing, something connected that blessing. The next sentence says, the message was given. The message is what was directly connected with this blessing. And what was the message that was given in 1843, 1844? Well, it was the 2,300-day prophecy. But if you want to summarize it in terms of the parable of the Ten Virgins, which was fulfilled in that time period to the very letter, and will be fulfilled again in our day to the very letter, then you would summarize that message to the Midnight Cry message. The message was given in 1843. There was a blessing.
