ଅମୋରୀୟମାନଙ୍କ ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରଭୁ କହିଥିଲେ: ‘ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପିଢ଼ୀରେ ସେମାନେ ପୁଣି ଏଠାକୁ ଆସିବେ; କାରଣ ଅମୋରୀୟମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧର୍ମ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ହୋଇନାହିଁ।’ ଯଦିଓ ଏହି ଜାତି ତାହାର ମୂର୍ତ୍ତିପୂଜା ଏବଂ ଦୁର୍ନୀତିର କାରଣରେ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟଭାବେ ପରିଚିତ ଥିଲା, ତଥାପି ସେ ତାହାର ଅଧର୍ମର ପାତ୍ରକୁ ଏପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପରିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିନଥିଲା, ଏବଂ ଈଶ୍ୱର ତାହାର ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ବିନାଶ ପାଇଁ ଆଜ୍ଞା ଦେଇନଥାନ୍ତେ। ଲୋକମାନେ ଏପରି ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ଦୈବୀ ଶକ୍ତିକୁ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଭାବେ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ଥିଲେ, ଯେପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ କୌଣସି ହେତୁ ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ନ ରହେ। କୃପାମୟ ସୃଷ୍ଟିକର୍ତ୍ତା ଚତୁର୍ଥ ପିଢ଼ୀ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅଧର୍ମକୁ ସହିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛୁକ ଥିଲେ। ତାହା ପରେ ଯଦି ଉନ୍ନତି ପ୍ରତି କୌଣସି ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଦେଖାଯିବ ନଥାଏ, ତେବେ ତାଙ୍କର ନ୍ୟାୟଦଣ୍ଡ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ପତିତ ହେବାକୁ ଥିଲା।
