“සූදානම් නොවූ ආත්මයන්ගේ තම අස්වැන්න රැස්කරගැනීම පිණිස සාතන් ස්වභාවධර්මයේ මූලද්රව්යයන් මඟිනුත් ක්රියා කරයි. ස්වභාවධර්මයේ ප්රයෝගශාලාවල රහස් ඔහු අධ්යයනය කර ඇත; දෙවියන් වහන්සේ ඉඩ දෙන ප්රමාණයට අනුව මූලද්රව්යයන් පාලනය කිරීමට ඔහු තම බලය සියල්ල භාවිත කරයි. යෝබ්ට පීඩා කිරීමට ඔහුට ඉඩ දෙන ලද කල, මොහොතක් තුළ මෙන් එක කරදරයක් අනෙකක් අනුගමනය කරමින්, බැටළු හා ගව රංචු, සේවකයෝ, ගෙවල්, දරුවෝ කෙතරම් ඉක්මනින් විනාශයට පත්ව ගියෝද! තම මැවිලි ආවරණය කර, විනාශකයාගේ බලයෙන් ඔවුන් වටකර ආරක්ෂා කරන්නේ දෙවියන් වහන්සේය. එහෙත් ක්රිස්තියානි ලෝකය යෙහෝවාගේ ව්යවස්ථාවට අවමානය පෙන්වා ඇත; එබැවින් ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ තමා කරන්නෙමැයි ප්රකාශ කර ඇති දේම කරනු ඇත—උන්වහන්සේ තම ආශීර්වාද භූමියෙන් ඉවත් කරගන්නා සේක, සහ තම ව්යවස්ථාවට විරුද්ධව කැරලිගසමින්, තම ඉගැන්වීම ප්රතික්ෂේප කරමින්, අනෙක් අයද ඒසේ කිරීමට බල කරන අය වෙතින් තම ආරක්ෂක සැලකිල්ල ඉවත් කරගන්නා සේක. දෙවියන් වහන්සේ විශේෂයෙන් ආරක්ෂා නොකරන සියල්ලන් මත සාතන්ට පාලනය ඇත. තම සැලසුම් ඉදිරියට ගෙන යෑම පිණිස ඔහු සමහර දෙනාට අනුග්රහ දක්වා සම්පත් දෙයි; අනෙක් අය වෙත ඔහු දුක්කම් ගෙන එයි, එවිට එසේ පීඩා කරන්නේ දෙවියන් වහන්සේයැයි මනුෂ්යයන් විශ්වාස කරන ලෙස ඔවුන්ව මඟ හරවයි.”
“प्रकट रूपमा मानिसहरूका सन्तानहरूका सामु सबै तिनका रोगहरू निको पार्न सक्ने महान् चिकित्सकझैँ देखा परे तापनि, उसले रोग र विपत्ति ल्याउनेछ, यहाँसम्म कि जनसङ्ख्याले भरिएका सहरहरू भग्नावशेष र उजाडतामा परिणत हुनेछन्। अहिले नै पनि ऊ कार्यरत छ। समुद्रमा र भूमिमा हुने दुर्घटना र विपत्तिहरूमा, विशाल आगलागीहरूमा, उग्र बवण्डरहरू र भयानक असिनापानीमा, आँधीहरू, बाढीहरू, चक्रवातहरू, ज्वारीय छालहरू, र भूकम्पहरूमा, हरेक स्थानमा र हजारौँ रूपहरूमा, शैतानले आफ्नो शक्ति प्रयोग गरिरहेको छ। उसले पाक्दै गरेको बाली नष्ट पार्छ, र त्यसपछि अनिकाल र कष्ट आउँछन्। उसले वायुमण्डलमा घातक विषाक्तता फैलाउँछ, र हजारौँ मानिसहरू महामारीद्वारा नष्ट हुन्छन्। यी प्रकोपहरू झन्-झन् बारम्बार र विनाशकारी हुँदै जानेछन्। विनाश मानिस र पशु दुवैमाथि आउनेछ। ‘पृथ्वी विलाप गर्छे र ओइलाउँछे,’ ‘अभिमानी मानिसहरू … निर्बल हुँदै जान्छन्। पृथ्वी आफ्ना बासिन्दाहरूको कारणले अशुद्ध पारिएको छ; किनकि तिनीहरूले व्यवस्थाहरू उल्लङ्घन गरेका छन्, विधिलाई परिवर्तन गरेका छन्, सनातन करार तोडेका छन्।’ यशैया 24:4, 5।”

Itatangazwa kwamba watu wanamkosea Mungu kwa kuivunja sabato ya Jumapili; kwamba dhambi hii imeleta misiba ambayo haitakoma mpaka utunzaji wa Jumapili utakapotekelezwa kwa ukali; na kwamba wale wanaowasilisha madai ya amri ya nne, hivyo wakiharibu heshima kwa Jumapili, ni wasumbufu wa watu, wanaozuia kurejeshwa kwao katika kibali cha Mungu na ustawi wa maisha ya sasa. Hivyo shtaka lililotolewa zamani dhidi ya mtumishi wa Mungu litarudiwa tena kwa misingi iliyo imara vivyo hivyo: ‘Ikawa, Ahabu alipomwona Eliya, Ahabu akamwambia, Je! Wewe ndiwe uliyetaabisha Israeli? Naye akajibu, Mimi sijataabisha Israeli; bali wewe, na nyumba ya baba yako, kwa kuwa mmeziacha amri za Bwana, nawe umewafuata Mabaali.’” 1 Wafalme 18:17, 18. Hasira ya watu itakapochochewa kwa mashitaka ya uongo, watawaendea wajumbe wa Mungu kwa mwenendo unaofanana sana na ule ambao Israeli iliyoasi ilimwendea Eliya.
